Four Religions District

Four Religions District: meeting place, the venue for dialogue, mutual respect and… a lot of unforgettable culinary sensations.

Additional info

Four Temples District is situated in the centre of Wrocław, in the immediate vicinity of the Market Square. It is formed by the area separated by the streets Kazimierza Wielkiego, św. Mikołaja, Pawła Włodkowica and św. Antoniego.

This zone may not be called a district following the traditional definition of this notion in urban planning; nevertheless, its unique character resulted in the area being called Four Temples District, Four Religions District or Mutual Respect District since 1995. Great sacral architecture monuments are decisive for its unique character. At the distance of only 300 m, the following religious facilities are located: Orthodox Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Roman Catholic Church of the Saint Anthony of Padua, the White Stork Synagogue as well as the Evangelical-Augsburg Church of Divine Providence. In order to strengthen the cooperation between religions, Council of the Mutual Respect District was founded, active since 1996.

Numerous restaurants, cafés, pubs and music clubs, situated within the Four Religions District (for example in the charming courtyard of the White Stork Synagogue surrounded with historical walls) make it one of the most magical meeting places of Wrocław citizens.
